What cities do you service?
Fred Berger Design & Build LLC services the entire Montgomery County, Prince Georges County, Frederick County and Howard County, in Maryland as well as Washington, D.C.

Are you licensed and insured?
We are licensed and insured in all of our service areas. MHIC# 80824

Do you charge for consultations or estimates?
Fred Berger Design & Build LLC will meet with you, discuss your needs and ideas, establish a budget, and schedule a follow up appointment to present a conceptual design with a line-by-line cost estimate. We do not charge for these initial consultations and estimates.

Does your company provide an after-hours emergency phone number?
Yes, one of the things that sets Fred at Fred Berger Design & Build apart is his availability and responsiveness to a clients needs. Fred is available 24/7 for any concern.

Do you offer a warranty on completed projects?
We have a standard 5 year warranty on all work performed by Fred Berger Design & Build LLC. You will also receive all full manufacturer warranties on the products used in your job such as, windows, doors and appliances etc.

Do you use subcontractors?
We have our in-house staff of tradesmen and craftsmen in addition to a number of professional associates we have a long history of working with. We manage all aspects of the design and construction process so that you only need one point of contact.

Should I get blueprints before I call you?
No, it is not necessary. We are a Design & Build firm that offers architectural and design services for each project. One of the advantages of working with Fred Berger Design & Build LLC is that all aspects of the construction process will be handled for you.

Will your company arrange for the necessary building permits?
Yes.  We follow all local building codes, apply and obtain all necessary permits you’re your project.
 
Who is responsible for cleaning up during construction?
Our crew is responsible for daily debris removal and clean up of the job site. When the construction work is finished we perform one final clean up so that your job site is immaculate.

Does your company schedule regular meetings with the homeowner?
Yes, we like to keep the homeowner informed on the progress of the project.

Who needs to attend the first consultation?
We require all decision makers be in attendance. We will need to discuss the scope and the goals of the project and will take into account any special needs and requirements.

What types of projects do you accept?
All projects large and small. We enjoy having experience with a wide variety of home construction projects. These include (but are not limited to) kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, second story bump-ups, additions, in-law suites, garage construction, garage conversion, basement remodel, sunroom additions, media rooms, roofing and much more.

Do you do commercial work?
Yes. We do complete interior remodel and renovation of office space.
